Keberadaannya di Jakarta sudah sejak 2-3 tahun lalu namun yang biasanya hanya dapat ditemukan di Beauty Box, kini APOT.CARE telah membuka booth solo-nya di Central Grand Indonesia. To be honest, at first I never heard or seen this brand before. So when I got the invitation I was pretty lost! Thank God I came to this small gathering because now I know about it and learn something new as well.

PRODUCT REVIEW | TINTED MOISTURIZER | BEAUTY STORY ID

The wait is over! I finally done testing out the new tinted moisturizer from Beauty Story. Their tinted moisturizer has only two shades available; light (cool undertones) and medium (warm undertones). The price for this product is Rp 88.500,-, Sao cheap!

PRODUCT REVIEW | SMOOTH & LUMINOUS PRIMER | BEAUTY STORY - ID

As promised, I'm going to share my thoughts on some of the products that I bought from Beauty Story. Again, it's an Indonesian cosmetic line and you can find them at Watson or through their website. What I will be sharing with you is that everything based on my experience and based on my skin condition. Some of the products might react differently on every skin, just so you know!

I don't want this post to be too long, so I will be writing each review separately! Let's start with the Smooth & Luminous Primer Primer Smooth & Luminous (Smoothing Base Sun Protection) - Rp 77.500,-

This primer is pearl base; gold, pink, and green pearls, that brightens the skin. It has oil block powder to absorb sebum (oil) and great for makeup base. Basically giving you a smooth, dewy, and glow look. 

Basically, I have oiliness around the T-Zone. With this kind of formula, I and you should be really be careful. Since it contains pearls or shimmer inside the liquid, if you have oily skin or combo skin like I do, it will create the look even more oily. But since it says, this primer also contain oil block powder maybe it won't be that scary. We'll see!

How?

First apply moisturizer, or you skip this if you want but I don't, and then I apply this primer to the whole face. The reason why I do this because I want to see how does the "oil block powder" works on me. Continue with creme blush and lipstick, and done..done.

Result?

This primer surely creates that dewy and glowing look. The liquid doesn't give any weird scents or what so ever, it smells like a baby powder I think. It's very watery and a little goes along the way actually. I squeeze too much actually, haha. So remember don't put too much on your face. It sets very quickly and it feels dewy when you touch your face. It does brighten the skin. After 1 - 2 hours, I don't see any oil building up around the T-Zone. But, when I see my self on the mirror right under the sun, I see some shiny part which is on the T-Zone and which I'm not really comfortable with that. After 3 hours, yes.. the oil has built up around T-Zone. 

Overall?

I do like this kind of primer. But I have to make sure with the amount of product that I apply on my face. Perhaps I'm not gonna apply any of this primer on the T-Zone because as you can see on the picture the shimmer is pretty obvious. The trick is skip the T-Zone area and the apply loose powder to your face so it'll reduce the "too glowing" look. This primer is similar too Laura's Mercier foundation primer which also has shimmer in it and cost aroung S$60. Compare to that, this luminous primer shows the shimmer more than the Laura Mercier. But for starter, not bad and it's affordable, I actually like it!

To be honest, I never really thought of buying local cosmetic brands. FYI.. I'm living in Jakarta Indonesia. The reason is because I don't really trust them, I mean with the quality, I am pretty much under estimate them. BUT.. guess what, it's my duty explore, get to know more, and to appreciate local brands. So I finally let my self buying and adding more local brands into my collection.

I found a new Indonesian brand called Beauty Story. Of the most local brands, Beauty Story catches my intention the most. At a glance, you might think this is a Korean cosmetic brand because the packaging is very cute, romantic, pastel color, with flower elements on the design. The price is also surprisingly affordable, I would say this is a drug store makeup.

PRODUCT REVIEW | FIRST IMPRESSION | MARC JACOB GENIUS GEL FOUNDATION

I'm kind of obsessed with Marc Jacobs cosmetic line. When they first launched, it was love at first sight! There's something about the brand that just made me connected. Are we talking about makeup or boys? LOL.

Ok.. maybe I'm a bit overreacted now! But what I'm trying to point out is that, I love the packaging, it's sophisticated and very elegant. Last time, I've talked about Marc Jacobs eyeshadow trio, to add more, today I'm going to share my thoughts on Marc Jacob's foundation, Genius Gel Super-Charge Foundation.

PRODUCT REVIEW | STILLA | ALL DAY LIQUID LIPSTICK | MATTE Lipstick

It's been a while since my last post. I've been very busy lately, doing makeup for pre-wedding photo shoot, special projects, and also food styling (my other job, hehe). So... couple weeks ago, I had a meeting at Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta Pusat, I stopped by at Sephora. Guess what? Stila has finally arrived at Sephora! I have been waiting for this because they have pretty awesome products and also been wanting to try one of their famous liquid lipstick, Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick. Yea it was like the right moment and so I took one home, I mean purchased ya! LOL

I heard a lot good reviews for this particular lipstick and one of the best seller shade is Patina but then I was looking for more vibrant color, so I bought the shade in Fiore (Hot Pink). After wearing it for almost 2-3 weeks, here is my review about this pretty lipstick.

Dalam blog post kali ini, saya ingin share salah satu karya makeup di awal tahun 2015. Thanks to my dearest friend, Melanie Tanusetiawan *she's an amazing and talented photographer*, saya dipertemukan dengan seorang Fashion Designer muda asal Indonesia Anthony Tandiyono. Anthony ingin membuat sebuah lookbook untuk koleksi terbarunya di tahun 2015 ini yang dijuluki sebagai Jejak Sejarah. Jadi sewaktu ditawarkan untuk ikut terlibat sebagai Makeup Artist, I was like, OKEYYY!!

NAIL CARE | RIMMEL with RITA ORA

It's been a week, I think, since my last post. I was away for business trip with my cousin to Singapore and of course we went a mini time for shopping at night *definitely did NOT want to missed it!*. We bumped into Rimmel's nail polish collection, BUT since we had so little time so we didn't get to take a look deeper. But from what I saw, they have an amazing collections which is like collaboration with Rita Ora.

After I got back to Jakarta, I went straight to Instagram and found one online shopping: @beautyluxe_id that sells some colors of Rita Ora nail polish collection. Go ahead check them out, they have amazing goodies that quite hard to find in Jakarta with affordable prices!! *wink..wink* I didn't know they have a collection for nail polish *I'm so out of date* but here they are.

This may not the best looking picture, I hope you can find where did I put the nail polish! LOL. Rimmel's nail collection with Rita Ora offer you many different colors from red, white, nude, blue, baby blue, green, and many more. Since I have tons of red nail polishes I bought three other shades that haven't had yet, they are  823 Blindfold Me Blue, 863 Do Not Disturb, 513 Let's Get Nude.

What makes them look pretty exclusive is that there're Rita Ora's pop art or illustration sticker on the brush holder. Each of them contains 0.27 floz or 8 ml and this applies to all collection. I bought this here through Instagram about Rp130.000,-. Not bad right? I'm not sure If the collection exists in Jakarta, but I will check them out for you!

On the other they, may nails looking so bad. I haven't had manicure and pedicure for a long time, so when I was alone at home I just pulled out all of my mani-padicure tools and did it by my self. Besides saves some money but you just have to be patient with yourself.

You know, when you were trying nail polish at the store and you did not realize that you didn't have any remover? Yeap..this happens all the time.

Don't complain, my finger so not lady-like and my nail shape also. LOL. These are the three colors and honestly I'm in love with 513 Let's Get Nude. The color makes my hands looks clean and neat! The color also very rich and it does looks glossy or jelly-like I didn't even wear a top coat. 

I have been wearing this for a week and it still there. I've been washing my dishes and everything too, still there and looking pretteyh! I super-super love this nail polish and I highly recommend this collection.!
