MAKEUP ESSENTIALS | In my Travel Bag

Hey guys, still on a holiday mood? I know, I feel you babes! I went to Ho Chi Minh Vietnam with my family for this long weekend and I have to say it was UH-MAZING. But I'm gonna share my journey separately. I'm going to talk about my version of "traveling makeup essentials". I don't usually do this though, I mean, I don't always bring a lot of makeup but this time I want to do something different. For my self, trying to be less boyish, if you know what I mean!

The idea at first was try to keep it simple but as I gather up everything.. this wasn't simple at all. I ended up bringing a bunch of makeup. So before I wrap it up, I google about the weather in Vietnam. This way actually helped me out of cutting down some of the makeup that are actually I don't need or it won't work with my skin or with the weather it self.

Here are some tips you need to think about before deciding what TO and NOT to bring:

Find out the weather; Hot, Cold, Windy, Humid, or else.  This way you know now, how your skin will work with it and what are the products that will work for you. Like me, for example Vietnam is sort of similar with Jakarta but it's more hot and humid. I know that my skin will become more oily than usual. So I will bring foundation that work well with my oiliness and last very long. Or, mascara, I usually wear the not waterproof one, so I will bring the waterproof one. I won't bring primer, I would just wear moisturizer and sunscreen because sometimes primer makes my skin more oily. Some times. But if you have more ok with primer such as Porefessional by Benefit Cosmetics, so bring it.

What are the activities. Are you going to like hiking? Sun bathing? Chill by the garden? These kind of activities will help you to decide what kind of color or what kind of makeup look you are going to create. For example, me, touring around the city or going on a boat with a hot weather. From here I know that I won't create like a full makeup on. Just a simple looks.

Are you gonna take a lot of SELFIES. Ok, maybe this is a bit hilarious but as far as I know, Gurll.. when you're on a holiday you need to take a lot of selfies. Why not, YOLO right. Since... I planned to do that that, I know that I have to bring my best lipstick. So I brought couple lipstick that is matte and last forever. But.. if you're not really into that bold color you can just bring tinted lipgloss or lip balm.

Baggage Size. So If you have very little space, try to bring travel size makeup. I know, some of us don't have that. In the future if you are about to go for makeup shopping, try to get some travel packed. This way will save some space of your bag! Trust me!

These things will help to decide so you will not bring a bunch of make up. After I decided everything, I've come up with these goodies. All of them were essentials while I was traveling, you don't have to follow me but this is just an idea for you. You can see pretty much everything from the picture above, anyways these are the deets!

Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Super - Charged Oil Free Foundation (Review will come out soon!)
Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing powder - Tarte
Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse - Tarte
Cannonball Waterproof Mascara - Urban Decay
Eyeshadow by Pop Beauty UK, I forgot the shade but it's just a natural copper color.
Brow powder by Canmake - just for transition color if needed, lol.
Hoola - bronzer - Benefit Cosmetics
Coralista - blush - Benefit Cosmtics
Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner - Eyeko
Two Choices of matte lipsticks; NYX and Lime Crime.
Duo Ended brush - (blush and contour - Make Up For Ever, eyeshadow - Sephora)
Flat Top Kabuki - Sigma

So that's everything. On day time, I don't really wear the eyeshadow, because I just want to keep it simple and focus on the lips, as always. And I don't bring under eye concealer because the foundation does the work already. If you have any questions, just leave a comment bellow. Or, you can follow my instagram @louiestacy !
