Bobbi Brown Beauty Workshop

[ENG SUB]

For the first time ever, I joined a beauty workshop by Bobbi Brown. We only need to spend Rp500.000 and redeemable to all products. If you like this brand and want to know more about their update; events, promos and new products, easy, just like/add their FB page: http://www.facebook.com/bobbibrownid?fref=ts

Held at Avorio Restaurant, Plaza Senayan Bobbi Brown taught us how to create their day time and night time look. BB's local beauty trainer, Amanda, was there to teach us and guide us step by step to achieve the look; from the preparation before applying foundation to the finishing look.

Each table, has been prepared with all tools; brushes, eyeshadows, foundations. Although, actually we are allowed to bring our own brushes. Well it's better to bring our own and not to share, not to be rude but just to keep away from any kind of 'skin bugs'. Hygiene, remember! They also provide you a piece of paper to note all the steps or to write down some products that you might buy.

Move on the steps of creating day time look. My apologize, I didn't have a chance to take a picture of the result for day time look. Reason: They asked me to be their model, and so Amanda as the beauty trainer did the makeup for me -aaww feels like I'm taking a photo shoot tho..hahaha.. But still, I do remember every step for day time look and night also. So here are the steps:

Step 1: SkinCare: It is very ideal, to prep your skin before applying foundation. Such as moisturizer with or without SPF. Bobbi Brown has one extra product that is good for our skin, Serum Anti-age Multi Action *it protects our skin from the cosmetic it self. You can buy moisturizer or toner from any brand, but still it has to right for skin. Like me, my skin is very sensitive, combination (T-Zone oily only) and acne problem so before I put my makeup on, I use several special cream from my Doctor. Amanda as the beauty trainer, she also suggested to wear Lip balm with SPF before sweep any lipstick. Just to make sure your lips are soft, moist and ready for lipstick.

Step 2: Corrector/Concealer: Bobbi Brown, as we can see from their campaign ad, they wanted all girls and women to look natural, fresh and flawless. Especially on the eyes. Sometimes we can't get enough sleep or even suffer from insomnia -I know, especially when you are in college, too many things to do! and it lead us to Raccoon Eyes. Amanda introduce us that BB has the solution to that matter which is Corrector and Concealer. Corrector is to neutralize under-eye darkness and while Concealer is to brightened up the whole eye look. So apply corrector first and followed with the concealer. You can use your concealer brush or with your finger tip. And I suggest you buy both of them, because it does freshened up the look and it is very light. -goodbye sleepy eyes!

Step 3: Foundation/Touch up stick: Since it is a day time look, she (Amanda) choose the light weight foundation which is Skin Foundation. Apply the foundation all around your face skin with your foundation brush or sponge. To set the foundation, apply Sheer Loose Powder with powder brush. I loved the product, because even though it is very light, it actually cover some redness and blemishes, just my personal opinion.

Step 3.1: Cream/Powder Blush: Don't be confused guys! It is better to apply cream blush before applying loose powder. The purpose is to give a fresh blushed on your cheeks. How: Give a big smile, and the apply some amount of cream blush (Potrough) with blush brush on the apples of your cheeks. So after that, then, you applied loose powder, apply a thin layer of powder blush.

Bobbi Brown shares to us that, it is good to start coloring your cheeks before 'coloring you eyes'. Without eyeshadow, you actually already have a fresh look and ready to go out.

Step 4: Brows: Pick up some eyeshadow or brow shadow product, with brow brush. Start apply from the middle tp the the end of you brow. Don't add more product to the brush, just dab a little product on the inner corner of the brow. Choose a color that is similar as your hair color. Amanda pointed out that, "please avoid black color you will look so un-natural"

6. Step 5: Eyeshadow: While it emphasize more glowing look. She used sparkle eyeshadow: MICA. Pick up some product with eyeshadow brush and dab all around the lid up to the crease.

7. Step 6: Apply mascara!

8: Step 7: To even perfect the look, apply neutral color lipstick.

Daytime look is done. To create the night look, very simple. Go back to you eyeshadows, try to find something more dark. I wear Kohl cake liner actually BB's new product too. She dab it with eyeshadow brush to my lid up to the crease. Apply just enough layer, make it simple. Add more blush from the apples to your cheek bones. Apply another layer of loose powder, especially to you T-zone and to complete the look apply brighter shade of lipstick.

Add more blush, finishing product and it's Done!

What do you think? It is pretty nice right? So.. I hope I give you some more ideas about applying make up and the products they used to create the look. If there's anything you don't understand, just leave a message or hit Bobbi Brown's counter. Tips: Don't be afraid to ask about the product, even though you're not buying it yet. Hey.. Bobbi Brown is not that affordable, so you have to really try it and make sure it does fit and match to your skin. Personally, it works for me and really worth the money. So go ahead and check it out!
