How To : Dark Smokey Eyes

Hi guys, how are you all doing? Hope you're having a wonderful day. It's been too long, since my last post. From now on, I will try my best to keep up with my beauty stories. Have you listed new goals for this year? Yeap... I have. One of them is going to makeup school. Since I'm becoming a pro MUA, I need to upgrade my skills and explore more of my knowledge in this industry. Wish me luck :)

Enough with the story and let's move on with our topic today, How To create a simple Dark Smokey eyes, yet still look elegant. So here is the result...

At first, I was inspired by Kim Kardashian's eye makeup. She has this bold smokey eyes, which makes her look so hot and beautiful. Along the way, I ended up doing some king of 'Gothic look'. But, hey.. after I apply some bronzer, highlighter, here and there, it turns out really nice. It's really nice for evening look, even with dark lipstick. On my personal opinions, dark lipstick for this year is wearable. As long as you used the right eye makeup and at right occasion!

Here the products and tools I used, along with the steps:

Face:
- Primer : Make Up For Ever HD Primer Microperfecting Primer, Apricot
- Foundation :  Laura Mercier Moiture Supreme Foundation, Sunny Beige
- Compact Powder : Benefit Hellow Flawless, I can't remember which shade, Honey or Beige
- Bonzer : Benefit Hoola

1. Apply primer all over the face.
2. Apply one or two pumps of foundation, used a damp sponge.
3. Dust the compact powder with Sigma's face powder.
4. Apply bronzer with Sigma's Large Angled Contour, in the hollow of the cheeks.

Eyes - Primer : N.Y.X Jumbo Pencil
- Eyeshadow : Bobbi Brown Kohl Cake Eyeliner
- Mascara : Benefit They're Real
- Brows : Browlash EX (Bought at Watson Singapore)

1. Apply primer on the eye lids.
2. Apply Black eye shadow also on the lids. Keep building the color, until rich the desire pigments, with the eyeshadow brush. I used E 55 Sigma.
3.  Blend the edges. I used E 40 Tapered Blending.
4. You can add pencil liner on your upper waterliner to create a fuller eyelashes.
5. Curls your lashes and apply two coats of mascara.

Tools:
- All brushes are from Sigma
- Beauty Blender

* I am very sorry, I missed couple things on the picture:
  - Benefit High Beam, Highlighter
  - Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Violet

1. Apply highlighter on your cheekbones.
2. Apply any darker lip glosses or lipsticks. Matte or Glossy finish, it's fine.

And there you go, Dark Smokey Eyes with dark lipsticks. For lipsticks option you can used red, burgundy, dark purple, even nude like Kim Kardashian's always wear. It is nice for evening look or even a party. Give it try!

Happy Beauty!
